Paintball Reserve: Shawn Walker Fired

Took them long enough. I wonder if they will admit how they were fooled by him.

Does Mr. Pierce have a background in paintball? If not, maybe he can follow the example of our goverment and just throw more money at a problem they dont understand.

Bitter, if that is your logic nothing I can say could possibly change your mind but maybe there is hope for you.

Business is Business. A paintball league isn't an uncharted business plan. It shares much of the fundamental components as any of the Big 5 professional leagues. It just takes a sharp mind to implement and execute what needs to be done. The new CEO using existing sports league models and surrounding himself with SMART industry partners will be the key to success, i believe.

I think the nppl's best has yet to be seen. Immediate drastic change? Maybe not, but definitely for the better.
  • you're kidding, right? · 1 year ago
Trying to apply top-5 sports business models to paintball is a surefire recipe for failure. There are virtually no similarities at all.

    There are many, think vague.

stop being such negative nancy's and see that there is an opportunity for change here, maybe the requested results will come in the next few months of decision making. theres more people who have negative things to say about something they love so much. perhaps its time for people to give an asserted effort of positive and rational thinking.

In my opinion Shawn was running the leagues sort of sketch well at least the xpsl. After event 5 (An awesome well attended event) in 07 he bought a rv for his family. Then event 5 this year he runs it at shittty sc village. I know he wont be affected by the pacific pb's move because he owns camp pendelton pb park which makes a grip of money. I also hear
Chuck H. might find a way back to nppl managment. If the 2 semi pro and pro division merge next year and this is a rumor i heard[wasn't supose to hear] they wont let the bottom seven ranked teams or so into pro. So D1 next year would be packed with teams, d2 teams in 07 d1 teams again and then the not so hot semi-pro teams. Division one does cost a good amount of money and that price will prolly go up a little bit because it will be the step under pro. Imo the nppl is following what psp has done, 4 levels of division league teams then the 5 man teams.

You are wrong about the RV, wrong about shawn owning pendelton...

you dont feel bad that you are just spreading rumors yourself?

    When did misinformation become acceptable?
  • hell yeah · 1 year ago
No!!! this new guy has NO, I said ... background in paintball Other then the short time he followed Shawn around this year to get a feel for how things are done... GOOD LUCK! all you NPPL'ers

No paintball knowledge is better than Shawn's negative knowledge.

No one was happy under Chuck's reign. Why's everyone want him back?
  • Pattyincali · 1 year ago
all we can do is hope for the best.

The NPPL under chuck was handicapped by Pure Promotions. Chuck has the spirit and drive to run a good league, he just needs the dollars (pacific pb) to make it happen.
